Some of the content in the Regions section comes from the merged stub Xinjiang wine. AgneCheese/Wine 21:47, 3 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article doesn't differentiate between traditional Chinese grape wines (pu tao jiu ) that are made by adding sugar to crushed Chinese grapes that are fermented in the sun without yeast, and the more modern red wines (hong jiu) using imported European grapes and European wine making techniques. They are quite different beverages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.78.243.245 (talk) 08:57, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Decanter award

[edit]

The He Lan Qinq Xue vineyard just (Sept 2011) won a Decanter International Trophy for Red Bordeaux Varietal over GBP10. This is (possibly) the first major international award for a Chinese wine. I haven't got time to research it right now, but someone else can if they get to it first. Manning (talk) 05:30, 13 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Grapes in China

[edit]

Indigenous Grape Varieties in China. I think we need to find out more about indigenous grape varieties in China to enrich this article. Komitsuki (talk) 15:18, 5 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
